Toyota Unveils All-New Wave Maker Colour For 2026 TRD Pro Models

The new Wave Maker colour is set to make a splash in the automotive world. This vibrant blue will be exclusive to the 2026 TRD Pro models, including the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia. These vehicles are anticipated to reach dealerships by autumn 2025. The colour was crafted by Toyota's CALTY Design team, showcasing their dedication to innovation and artistic expression.

Wave Maker is the latest addition to a series of distinctive TRD Pro colours that began with Inferno in 2015. This tradition of bold hues has been well-received over the years. Benjamin Jimenez, general manager at CALTY’s Ann Arbor location, shared insights on the inspiration behind Wave Maker: "We had a few years of warm natural hues inspired by traditional landscapes like Terra and Mudbath as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we were inspired by unexplored areas of adventure including extreme territory and even beyond earth."

Jimenez further elaborated on the essence of this new shade: "Wave Maker expresses an elemental spirit that evokes images of glacial depths and the thrill of new frontiers." The colour aims to inspire a sense of adventure and exploration, reflecting Toyota's commitment to pushing boundaries in design.

Toyota has been part of American culture for nearly seven decades. The company is dedicated to promoting sustainable mobility through its Toyota and Lexus brands. With almost 1,500 dealerships across the U.S., Toyota employs around 48,000 people directly. These employees have played a crucial role in designing, engineering, and assembling over 35 million vehicles at Toyota's 11 manufacturing plants.

In spring 2025, Toyota plans to start producing automotive batteries for electrified vehicles at its North Carolina plant. This move aligns with Toyota's goal of increasing electrified vehicle options on the road. Currently, they offer 32 electrified models, more than any other automaker.

The Toyota USA Foundation is also making strides in education through its Driving Possibilities initiative. This program aims to create innovative educational opportunities within historically underserved communities near Toyota’s U.S. operations.
