2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander Launched At ₹21.05 Lakh With New Automatic Gearbox
Japanese utility vehicle manufacturer Isuzu has launched the updated 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander at a price of ₹21.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The pickup now receives a new automatic transmission option along with additional equipment updates.
The 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander continues to be positioned between the work-focused D-Max range and the lifestyle-oriented V-Cross in Isuzu's lineup of pickup trucks for the Indian market.

The key update to the 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander is the introduction of a torque-converter automatic transmission paired with the existing diesel engine. Earlier, the Hi-Lander was offered only with a manual gearbox. The pickup truck continues to use a 1.9-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque that drives the rear wheels.
Along with the new gearbox, the updated D-Max Hi-Lander receives additional comfort and convenience features. These include cruise control, steering-mounted controls and a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.

Other equipment on the 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander includes power windows, manual air conditioning and a height-adjustable driver seat, consistent with the model's dual private-and-commercial positioning.
The D-Max Hi-Lander continues to be offered with a double-cab body style featuring a cargo bed at the rear. The design remains largely unchanged, retaining halogen headlamps, a raised stance and blacked-out exterior elements along with the High ground clearance and a ladder-frame chassis remain central to its load-carrying and rough-road capability.
Safety equipment on the 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminders. The pickup also features a high-strength chassis designed for durability and crash protection.
The 2026 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Lander sits as a more affordable alternative to the V-Cross while offering greater comfort and usability than the entry-level commercial D-Max variants. It targets buyers seeking a lifestyle pickup without the higher price of the four-wheel-drive models but with the added convenience of an automatic gearbox.
