Honda India Sales Up 5% – 7,585 Units Sold In March 2026
Honda Cars India has reported a 5% sales growth in March 2026, with total domestic sales of 7,585 units. The company currently sells only four models in the Indian market and is also one of the few brands in India offering hybrid technology.

Japanese automaker Honda Cars registered a 5% growth in the domestic market in March 2026. The company sold 7,585 units domestically and exported 2,451 units during the same month. In comparison, it had sold 7,228 units in March last year, while export stood at 4,656 units during the same period.
While Honda has recorded steady growth in domestic sales, its exports have declined year-on-year. The company manufactures its vehicles at its Tapukara facility in Rajasthan and is planning to produce its upcoming models at the same plant, along with further expansion to support future growth.
Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, said: "Demand for all Honda models, especially Amaze and Elevate, continues to be strong with exciting promotions and product offerings, which helped us achieve 5% growth during March 2026.
We are excited to enter the new fiscal year with plans to expand our lineup, including the launch of our first BEV in the second half. We remain highly optimistic that our strong focus on customer satisfaction will continue to drive growth and sustain positive momentum."
Honda Cars India currently offers four products in the domestic market, including the Honda Amaze compact sedan, the iconic Honda City mid-size sedan, the Honda Elevate SUV, and the flagship hybrid sedan, the Honda City e:HEV.
The company is aiming to strengthen its presence in India and has announced plans to introduce several new products, including the upcoming Honda O Alpha EV SUV, which is currently under testing.
We can also expect the Honda Elevate facelift to launch in the coming months. Additionally, the next-generation Honda City is expected to arrive around 2027. Overall, Honda remains one of the most trusted and popular brands in India and is now gearing up for a strong revival.
