Recently, it was updated with a newer generation based on the K3 platform, offering a variety of safety features and powertrain options. Speaking about the sales achievement, Mr. Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, "Crossing 6 lakh sales reflects sustained customer preference for a product that delivers strong fundamentals in design, safety, technology, and performance."
He added, "Seltos expanded expectations in the mid-SUV segment by offering features and configurations that were not widely available at the time of its launch. The consistent uptake across variants, including strong demand for top trims, indicates growing customer confidence in advanced safety systems and connected technologies."

The new-generation Seltos is slightly larger and wider, offering more cabin space along with a more premium and muscular design. Kia also offers the Seltos with advanced ADAS technology, six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system.
It gets three powertrain options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS / 144 Nm), a 1.5L turbo petrol (160 PS / 253 Nm), and a 1.5L CRDi diesel engine (116 PS / 250 Nm), paired with manual, iVT, automatic, and 7-speed DCT transmission choices depending on the variant.
