Mahindra XEV 9S Updated With New Custom Drive Mode — More Control For Drivers

Mahindra has introduced an update to its flagship electric SUV, the XEV 9S, adding a Custom Drive Mode to enhance driver control and personalisation. This feature is exclusively available on the top-spec Pack Three variant, which allows drivers to adjust powertrain, steering, and suspension settings individually.

New Custom Drive Mode For Mahindra XEV 9S

The update comes after Mahindra received feedback regarding the adaptive suspension setup. In response, the company has introduced a customizable driving mode that enables drivers to fine-tune the vehicle's dynamics according to their personal driving preferences.

Variants equipped with Adaptive Suspension can now operate with mixed parameter settings. For instance, drivers can select Comfort mode for steering while keeping the suspension in Race mode, suited to their driving style.

These flexible adaptive settings are expected to improve ride comfort and driving engagement across different road conditions. The electric SUV already offers multiple drive modes, including Default, Everyday, Range, and Race. The newly added Custom mode is included only in the Pack Three trim.

Looking ahead, Mahindra is preparing to expand its Born Electric range with the BE 07, which is expected to launch in 2027. The BE 07 is likely to be positioned above the BE 06, rivalling electric SUVs such as the Tata Harrier EV, featuring a more powerful motor and a larger battery pack.

The brand's electric SUVs continue to attract buyers thanks to their robust build quality, strong safety credentials, and advanced technology features. With continuous software-driven updates and expanding EV offerings, Mahindra is steadily strengthening its position in India's fast-growing electric SUV segment.
