Mercedes-Benz V-Class India Launch Set For 3rd March - Bollywood's New Luxury Darling?
German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed that the new V-Class will launch in India on the 3rd of March 2026, marking the return of the brand's luxury MPV to the domestic line-up following the discontinuation of the previous generation in 2022.
The new Mercedes V-Class, which is in essence the facelifted update to the luxury MPV last sold in India, will rival the likes of the Toyota Vellfire, the Lexus LM and he all electric MG M9 as is expected to bepriced north of Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom).

The latest Mercedes V-Class for India is expected to be offered in the same V 220d guise. The Mercedes V 220d is powered by a turbocharger 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that uses common-rail direct injection and produces 190PS of maximum power and 440Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission (9G-TRONIC) that drives the rear wheels.
Exterior design changes for the new generation V-Class include a revised front grille, updated LED headlamp clusters and reshaped bumpers. Signature daytime running lamps and chrome accents align the MPV's design with the current Mercedes design language.

Inside, the Mercedes V-Class features dual digital displays mounted under a continuous hood that incorporates the instrument cluster and central infotainment screen. Seating configurations include multiple captain-seat options and flexible three-row layouts suitable for up to eight occupants.
The V-Class comes packed with a host of safety features include multiple airbags, automatic emergency braking, crosswind assist and tyre pressure monitoring. The MPV also offers multi-zone climate control and multiple USB-C charging points within the cabin.

The Mercedes V-Class sold abroad is offered in both long wheelbase and extra-long wheelbase guises, though which of these Mercedes brings to India is still not confirmed. Mercedes also sells an all-electric version dubbed the EQV, but this version currently looks unlikely to come to India

Deliveries for the new V-Class are expected to follow soon after through authorised Mercedes-Benz dealerships as the luxury MPV is expected to arrive in CBU guise to our shores.
