MG Majestor SUV Launch Expectations: Fortuner Rival With 4x4 Diesel, ADAS & Luxury Tech
JSW-MG Motor India is preparing to launch its all-new Majestor SUV in the Indian market. This will be the brand's first D+-segment SUV in the country and is expected to rival the Toyota Fortuner. It will also serve as MG's flagship internal combustion (ICE) SUV in India. The official launch is scheduled for February 12, 2026.
MG Majestor SUV Launch Expectations
The Majestor was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo and has since been spotted multiple times during testing. It will be positioned above the MG Gloster, which previously held the flagship status in the company's India lineup.

A Bolder Design
The Majestor SUV is expected to feature a bold and upright stance typical of large SUVs. Teasers suggest a squared-off front design with slim vertical LED lighting integrated into the bumper and sleek daytime running lights positioned at the top.
The front grille follows MG's latest design language, seen on models like the Hector Plus, complemented by chunky bumpers. The boxy silhouette resembles a ladder-frame car with sharp styling lines. At the rear, the SUV is expected to feature connected LED tail lamps and rugged bumpers with an aluminium-finish skid-plate design, enhancing its all-terrain appeal.

Premium Interiors
Inside, the Majestor is likely to offer a dual-tone cabin theme, with multiple colour options expected for the India-spec model. The dashboard features a horizontal layout with neatly integrated AC vents, a digital instrument cluster, and physical buttons for key controls. As a three-row SUV, it is expected to offer a spacious seven-seat configuration.
Powerful Diesel Engine
The Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 4x4 drivetrain is likely to be offered as standard. The engine is expected to produce around 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque, making it suitable for both highways and off-road conditions.

Other Highlights
The SUV is expected to feature Level 2 ADAS safety technology, a 360-degree camera system, six airbags, and front and rear parking sensors. Other expected features include a dual-screen infotainment setup, digital instrument cluster, ventilated, heated, and massage-function front seats, a premium JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, multiple wireless charging points, and a powered tailgate with gesture control.
Expected Price & Rivals
The MG Majestor is expected to be priced between ₹45 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). As a D+ segment SUV, it will compete with rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, and Skoda Kodiaq.
