Mini Celebrates Monte Carlo Legacy With New Cooper 1965 Victory Edition — Bookings Open
Mini has opened bookings for the Cooper 1965 Victory Edition in India, which will be available only in limited numbers. This iconic hatchback pays tribute to the title-winning Cooper S of 1965. It will be available globally in both electric and ICE variants.
Mini Cooper 1965 Victory Edition
61 years ago, Mini won the Monte Carlo Rally, and now the brand has paid tribute to the iconic car by introducing a special edition. The model is now available for booking in India, and interested customers can reserve the car through authorised dealerships. In India, it will be available only with the combustion engine paired with the JCW pack.

Engine and Transmission
The Victory Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the Cooper S model. It produces 204 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240 km/h.
Special Edition Highlights
This special edition is finished in an exclusive red paint scheme with offset white stripes running across the bonnet, roof, and rear hatch, resembling a racing car. There are also race-inspired decals on the doors and rear pillars numbered '52'.
The car features new dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, a twin-bubble rear spoiler, and a sporty central tailpipe. The JCW pack adds 'John Cooper Works' badges on the front grille and rear hatch, blacked-out MINI badges, and gloss black exterior trim.

Interiors
Inside, it gets exclusive 1965 Victory Edition branding, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multi-colour markings and a 1965 emblem at the bottom. The centre console also features the same emblem along with fabric upholstery and a black key knob.
Price expectations
The regular Cooper with the John Cooper Works trim starts at ₹55.15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. We expect the 1965 Victory Edition with the JCW package to be slightly higher. Mini Cooper rivals models such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI, Audi Q3, and BMW X1.
