All-New Nissan Gravite MPV Launched At ₹5.65 Lakh
Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the Gravite MPV in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Nissan Gravite is the first of three new vehicles that the Japanese marque will bring to India as it looks to relaunch its foray into our country.
Based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF-A+ platform shared with the Renault Triber, the Gravite is positioned above the Magnite in Nissan's India lineup and targets buyers looking for an affordable family vehicle with three rows of adaptable seating.

The exterior of the new Nissan Gravite features the firm's V-motion grille, LED daytime running lamps, roof rails, body cladding and 15-inch steel wheels. The new Nissan Gravite MPV retains a compact footprint while accommodating three rows within the sub-4-metre length bracket.
The all-new Nissan Gravite is offered with a removable third row of seats, allowing owners to increase luggage capacity when required. The second row features sliding and reclining seats, while the third row is designed primarily for occasional use. This configuration allows flexibility between passenger capacity and cargo space depending on requirements. Boot space stands at 625 litres with the third row removed, while space reduces significantly when all seven seats are in place.

Other feature highlights of the new Gravite include keyless entry, push-button start, a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, an AI Voice Assistant called Akira, rear AC vents and multiple storage spaces across the cabin. Higher variants add wireless charging and automatic headlamps.
Safety equipment on the new Gravite MPV from Nissan includes six airbags as standard, along with electronic stability control, traction control, ABS with EBD, brake assist, hill-start assist and tyre-pressure monitoring. Rear parking sensors and a camera are also provided.

The new Nissan Gravite draws power from the Rrnault-Nissan Alliance's 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that also powers the Magnite. The Gravite's engine produces 72 hp and 96 Nm of torque and is paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT automatic.
Nissan claims fuel efficiency figures of 19.3 kmpl for the manual variants of the Gravite and 19.6 kmpl for the AMT versions. Nissan has also announced that a dual-cylinder CNG retrofit option will be available for the Gravite through its dealerships.
In the Indian market, the Nissan Gravite will compete with the Renault Triber as well as larger MPVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion, offering a lower entry price for seven-seat mobility.
