Renault Duster Set To Launch In March 2026: Expected Price, Features & Key Highlights
Renault India has announced that it will launch the new-generation Duster on March 17, 2026, with deliveries of the SUV expected to begin from April 2026. This compact SUV is making a comeback after several years, and anticipation is building as buyers eagerly await its pricing announcement in the coming weeks.
Renault Duster Launch Date Revealed
The French automaker Renault has remained relatively quiet in the Indian market for the past few years. Its lineup has been limited to the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber models. Meanwhile, several new competitors entered the compact SUV space and captured significant market share. The company is now planning to launch the new-gen Duster on March 17, 2026.

Renault is bringing the Duster, developed on an all-new Renault Group Modular Platform with advanced global engineering and hybrid technology. This third-generation platform has been engineered to withstand extreme conditions, offering a tough build along with a claimed 5-star safety standard.
Duster Powertrain Options
It will be offered with three engine options: the Turbo TCe 100 petrol engine (also seen in the Kiger), producing 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque, and the more powerful Turbo TCe 160 petrol engine delivering a class-leading 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed Automatic transmission.

Additionally, the SUV will feature a segment-first Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 setup, combining a 1.8-litre petrol engine with a 1.4 kWh battery pack. This configuration is claimed to deliver a class-leading range of up to 1,000 km on a single tank. Renault states that this hybrid technology draws inspiration from Formula 1 expertise, where the Renault Group has played a significant role.
Capabilities
The SUV measures 4.3 metres in length and has 212 mm of ground clearance, highlighting its capability across varied driving conditions. Globally, it is also available with a 4x4 configuration, and Renault has indicated that a 4WD variant could be introduced in India if market demand.
Duster Features

In terms of technology and features, the new Duster is well-equipped. It includes a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Google integration, a 10.25-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS with 17 safety assist systems, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an electrically powered tailgate, and several other modern convenience features.
Price Expectations & Rivals
Pricing is expected to start at around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end strong hybrid variant may be priced close to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the new Duster will compete with popular SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Tata Sierra, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Honda Elevate.
