Tata Punch EV Facelift Spied Ahead Of Launch Tomorrow - What We Know So Far
Tata Motors will launch the facelifted Punch EV tomorrow, marking the first major update for the electric micro-SUV since its debut in 2024. Now, less than 24 hours before its launch tomorrow, we've managed to get our hands on images of the new Tata Punch EV facelift on the road, thanks to one of our readers.
The images of the Tata Punch EV, show off the upcoming electric micro-SUV on the highway in a rather fetching shade of red. What makes us certain this facelifted Tata Punch EV, are its alloy wheels, which have been seen in recent teasers for the electric SUV.

With the launch of the Tata Punch Facelift set for tomorrow, let's take a look at everything we know so far about the update to Tata's micro SUV.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Design Changes

Exterior updates to the Tata Punch EV are evolutionary and draw cues from the ICE facelift. The front fascia gets a redesigned bumper and air dam, while the earlier full-width DRL light bar has been removed. Larger headlamp housings and revised skid-plate elements are also expected.
At the rear, the Tata Punch EV facelift adopts connected LED tail-lamps similar to the petrol version, along with a revised bumper. The side profile remains largely unchanged apart from new aero-optimised alloy wheels.

Tata Punch EV Facelift: Interior Updates And Features
Cabin changes to the Tata Punch EV facelift are limited because the existing model already offers a comprehensive equipment list. The facelift is expected to retain the digital driver display, steering wheel design and centre console layout while introducing updated upholstery and trim finishes.
Higher variants could receive a larger touchscreen infotainment system, potentially a 12.3-inch unit borrowed from larger Tata EVs. Features such as ventilated front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera are expected to continue.
Tata Punch EV Facelift: Battery, Range & Powertrain
The most significant update to the Tata Punch EV is expected to be under the skin. The current Punch EV uses 25 kWh and 35 kWh battery packs. We expect the smaller of the two battery packs to be dropped with the 35kWh unit set to become the entry-level version. Tata is expected to drop in the 45kWh battery pack from the Nexon EV Medium range into the facelifted Punch EV, if the teaser video showing a range of 593.6 km on a single charge is anything to go by.
The current Punch EV uses a single front-mounted electric motor. The 25 kWh version produces 82 hp and 114 Nm, while the 35 kWh variant delivers 122 hp and 190 Nm. If the larger battery pack is introduced, the power output could increase accordingly, potentially aligning the Punch EV with higher-output Tata EV systems.
The updated Tata Punch EV will continue to compete in the entry-level electric SUV segment against models such as the Citroën eC3. Deliveries are expected to begin soon after launch.
