Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo Concept Revealed At MWC Barcelona: Xiaomi Goes Gaming
Xiaomi has revealed the Vision Gran Turismo concept, a futuristic electric hypercar created for the Gran Turismo racing simulation series. The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept was revealed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and will be made available to drive in the Gran Turismo.
The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept adopts a low-slung hypercar silhouette with a strong emphasis on aerodynamics. The front end features slim lighting elements integrated into a sculpted nose, while large air channels guide airflow across the body.

The cockpit sits within a teardrop-shaped glass canopy that blends into the sharply tapered rear section. Xiaomi says the car has been designed to balance high-speed efficiency with stability during cornering. One of the key technologies highlighted on the concept is Active Wake Control, a system designed to manage airflow leaving the rear of the vehicle in order to reduce turbulence.
The Vision Gran Turismo concept also features unusual Accretion Rims, which use magnetically mounted covers that remain stationary while the wheels rotate. According to Xiaomi, this design helps reduce aerodynamic drag while also improving brake cooling. The bodywork incorporates sculpted surfaces, large rear outlets and carefully shaped aerodynamic channels to optimise airflow across the car.

Inside, the Vision Gran Turismo concept uses what Xiaomi calls a 'Sofa Racer' cockpit layout. The seats, dashboard and door panels are integrated into a single continuous structure designed to create a focused driver environment. The concept also introduces a digital interaction system called Pulse AI, which controls lighting and feedback elements within the cabin.
The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept will appear in the Gran Turismo racing simulation series for the PS5, allowing players to drive the hypercar virtually once it is added to the game. The concept itself is not intended for production and serves primarily as a digital showcase of Xiaomi's design and technology ideas.

"The overall design maintains its simplicity while revealing an indescribably sleek and incredibly sexy curved aesthetic," said Kazunori Yamauchi, Producer of the Gran Turismo series. "What impressed me most was how Xiaomi resolved the contradiction between low drag and high downforce. When I saw their complete solutions, I was truly amazed. I believe this car will become a role model for this era."
