BJP Gets A DC Design Van For Election Campaign In Karnataka

Elections are good times for custom automobile design firms, especially for the likes of DC Design. This Dilip Chabria led custom auto design company has made a name for itself by building custom cars and vanity vans for some of the country's rich and powerful personalities.

While usually their clients are business and bollywood bigwigs, election times see a client of a different sort. Political party members find themselves in need of personal vans and buses that can keep them comfortable all day long as they campaign in the summer heat. BJP recently acquired one such vehicle in Karnataka.

This election van has been named Vijaya Bharatha Ratha and was inaugurated by ex-CM and Bangalore North BJP candidate DV Sadananda Gowda.

Donated to BJP by former Minister of Industry, Murugesh Nirani, the hi-tech van will be used by the party for election campaign in the state.

The van is a modified Swaraj Mazda that gets the typical DC treatment, such as the seamless window design, and has been done in BJP's trademark saffron and green colours.

The bus can accommodate 8 people and has been equipped with the following features: A hydraulic lift (for addressing the public), 2 LCD television sets, dish set, electricity generator, refrigerator, CCTV, toilet and mike set.
