Electrify America's EV Charging Sessions Double In 2023, Eyes Expansion To 5,000 Units By 2024
Electrify America has reported a notable surge in its operations throughout 2023, marking a year of significant achievements and setting ambitious goals for the near future. The company, a leading player in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, has seen its customer charging sessions soar to over 10 million this year, effectively doubling the figure from 2022. This remarkable increase is not just a number; it translates into more than 1.3 billion electric miles driven by consumers, alongside the prevention of over 52 million gallons of gasoline consumption.
The expansion of Electrify America's network has been pivotal in achieving these milestones. As of 2023, the network boasts over 900 charging stations spread across 47 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and six Canadian provinces. This growth is underscored by the company's strategic moves into new territories such as Hawaii and North Dakota, pushing the total charger count past the 4,000 mark. Moreover, Electrify America has enhanced its service quality by upgrading more than 680 legacy chargers to its next-generation technology.

The ambition is to install 5,000 DC fast chargers, which will include larger charging stations to cater to the growing demand for public DC fast charging solutions.
