Ford EcoSport India Variants Leaked
The Ford compact SUV was first introduced more than a year back and in the past month Ford EcoSport has toured major Indian cities, making itself quite familiar with potential Indian buyers. It was not clear which variants India would get though. Until now that is.
Theautomotiveindia has now leaked the EcoSport will be offered in four variants - Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Optional. Engines provided will be three - a 1.5 liter petrol, a 1.5 liter diesel and the highly anticipated 1.0 liter turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine.
Ford's celebrated EcoBoost will only be available with the top variant though, which means one will have to spend a premium to gain the benefits of the efficient engine. More details about each variants in the gallery below.
Ambiente: The base EcoSport will still offer premium features such as tilt and telescopic steering and electric outside rear view mirrors. It will also come with music player equipped with Bluetooth and Aux-in music. Other standard features will include remote locking, multi function display, front power windows and 15 inch wheels. Parcel tray will be missing in the base variant.
Coming to the second variant, the Trend. It will offer as standard ABS, power windows, driver seat height adjust and steering wheel mounted audio controls.
Titanium trim will offer amenities such as leather steering wheel cover, automatic climate control, cooled glovebox, roof rails, fog lamps, reverse parking sensor, dual air bags and 16 inch alloy wheels.
The Titanium trim can be upgraded with an optional upgrade package that will add push-button start, leather seats, keyless entry, and side and curtain airbags.
Engine and transmissions: The 1.5 liter petrol and diesel engines will be offered with the first two variants, mated to a manual gearbox. The 1.0 liter EcoBoost will only be provided with the Titanium trim, along with the manual transmission. There is also an automatic transmission variant available, but you'll have to forgo the EcoBoost engine if you go for it. The Titanium variant will not be offered with the diesel engine.
