Hyundai Compact SUV India Launch In 2015
Hyundai India will enter the the very active compact SUV segment in the country with the launch of a new, yet unnamed, model in 2015. The confirmation comes from Rakesh Srivastava, the company's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
The model that fits the bill perfectly is the new Hyundai ix25. A smaller version of the ix35, the ix25 was revealed only in April, at the Beijing Motor Show. While Hyundai has not announced a launch outside of China for the vehicle yet, it does make the most sense.
Measuring a little over 4 meters in length, Hyundai ix25 will not be able to benefit from tax exemption. But that should not be a hinderance for success, as the Duster has proved.
Hyundai ix25 measures 4,270mm long, 1,780mm wide and 1,630mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,590mm.

The new compact SUV from Hyundai has been designed on the lines of the company's latest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. It has design elements resembling other Hyundai SUVs like the Santa Fe, but takes to the current generation Hyundai ix35 the most.
Notable design elements include LED daytime running lights, an aggressive front end with a hexagonal chrome grille and large bumper with integrated fog lamps, skid plates etc,. The headlights feature a swept back design, while the tail lights sport a wrap around design.
Hyundai has a good chance of becoming the leading compact SUV seller in the country, taking into consideration its current position as the country's second largest car manufacturer.
