Why is Fancy Vehicle Registration Number So Popular?
Indians are highly enthusiastic about buying fancy number plates for their cars and bikes. Number series like 0001 and 0009 are widely regarded as VIP numbers, which is why they get sold for such high prices at auctions. Many also prefer numbers like 7, 8, and 9, as they are believed to hold religious significance.
For many families in India, vehicles are more than just a machine, as they are closely linked to their pride, identity, and emotions. To make their cars and bikes feel more unique, personalised, and memorable, people are willing to spend huge amounts of money on buying these fancy registration numbers.
On the other hand, some people opt for these VIP numbers to showcase their wealth and ego, believing that it reflects their wealth and social status. Also, having a VIP number on a car or bike makes it appear more premium and aspirational. So, it wouldn't be surprising if this record is broken again in the coming months.
