CNH India Reaches 700,000 Tractor Production Milestone In Greater Noida
CNH, a global leader in agriculture with its New Holland and Case IH brands, recently celebrated a significant milestone. The company's manufacturing site in Greater Noida has produced 700,000 tractors. This plant manufactures around 2,000 tractor variants, ranging from 35 to 120 horsepower.
Since starting production in 1999, the Greater Noida facility has grown significantly. It now has the capacity to produce 60,000 tractors annually. The plant also manufactures engines, Power Take Offs (PTOs), and axles for both domestic use and export to over 75 countries.
Commitment to 'Made in India'
Narinder Mittal, Country Manager & Managing Director of CNH India & SAARC, expressed his pride in this achievement. "I'm delighted to celebrate the milestone of manufacturing 700,000 tractors together with our CEO and the India team. This accomplishment underscores our dedication to 'Made in India' and advancing agricultural development in the country," he said.
The Greater Noida plant spans over 60 acres and employs about 1,200 people. It is one of the most advanced tractor manufacturing sites in India. The facility focuses on sustainability by using solar energy and implementing an afforestation project that follows the Miyawaki Project Methodology.
Global Reach and Innovation
Gerrit Marx, the new CEO of CNH, attended the milestone ceremony during his recent visit to India. His presence reaffirmed the company's commitment to the Indian market and its ongoing growth. CNH India's focus on technology and innovation continues to drive its success.
CNH operates through its Case IH, New Holland, and CASE Construction Equipment brands in India. For over 25 years, it has delivered world-class products from its 'Made in India' operations. In 2018, CNH launched CNH Capital India to provide financing solutions across its product portfolio.
The company’s dedication to sustainability is evident at the Greater Noida plant. Solar panels installed on the roof supply energy for operations. Additionally, an afforestation project promotes biodiversity by densely planting native woodland plants.

The Greater Noida facility not only serves domestic needs but also exports products globally. Countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and North America benefit from these exports.
