Doug Garrison's Incredible Motorsports Art
The world is home to several talented artists, but few of them possess the rare combined passion for creating artwork and motorsports. Doug Garrison is one such artist. Any artist will agree that the art comes to life only when the artist is truly passionate about the subject and this fact is proved the instant you take a look at the mesmerising motorsports related artwork of Mr Garrison.
Any moment from motorsport is reproduced best when the essence is captured. Great motorsport art is one in which the dynamism of the moment, the passion of the driver and the speed of the vehicle are all still alive in a still image. This is what we see in his artwork. We loved it so much that we simply could not resist sharing them with our readers.
While the paintings look like they have been painted on canvas, they are actually digital art. Mr Garrison's technique is unique. He first prepares a physical base abstract art, which he then scans and uploads into a computer. Then, using digital stylus and tablet he edits and builds upon the base work until the desired result is achieved.
