Fake MLA Sticker Used In Hyundai Creta – Here’s How Police Nabbed The Imposter
Being an MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) is not an easy task as it comes with many responsibilities and with these responsibilities comes great powers and privileges. As such, a 22-year-old managed to enjoy some of these powers and privileges by adding a simple sticker on his car.
Speaking about the sticker in question, the 22-year-old was using a fake "MLA" sticker on his White Hyundai Creta SUV to avoid tolls, parking charges, and other such monetary impositions.
That being said, in a recent twist of events, the owner of the Hyundai Creta SUV with the fake "MLA" sticker was finally caught by the Pune Police during a routine inspection. In fact, this particular Hyundai Creta was already on the lookout by the cops.
During the inspection, the Police found out that the vehicle belongs to Rituraj Gaikwad, a resident of Kalewadi. When enquired, it became clear that the Hyundai Creta in question does not belong to any legislator and the cops rightfully peeled off the fake MLA sticker from the SUV.
On top of that, the police also issued a challan of Rs 6,500 under certain sections of the Motor Vehicle Act and booked the offender under 419 of IPC and Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) ACT, 1950.
That being said, such impersonation and unlawful usage of government stickers on personal cars are serious crimes and we urge all DriveSpark readers not to indulge, promote, or appreciate such activities.
Thoughts About Pune Police Nabbing "Imposter"
The Pune police have done a commendable job at nabbing the imposter. That being said, there are many other people indulging in such unlawful activities and it is high time to make people understand the gravity of such crimes.
