Hublot MP 05 LaFerrari Companion Watch
Every exotic supercar deserves a companion watch, a watch that is developed keeping the same design philosophy in mind and a watch that is only meant for those who own the specific car. The Bugatti Veyron has a companion watch for example. So does the McLaren F1. The Enzo, however, did not have one, but its successor LaFerrari does.
The watch, MP 05, is the work of Hublot and some might say it looks better than even the LaFerrari. The level of engineering that has gone into the making of Hublot MP 05 (clearly seen) is astounding. Details and video in the gallery below.
Anyone looking at the image the first time will naturally be confused as to how to read the time on this mechanical wonder. Thenumbers on the right represent the time. Here is it 10.05 and the numbers on the left represent the power reserve counter.
Hublot MP 05 has a mind boggling 637 components in it. In fact, this is the first time Hublot has made a mechanical watch with this amount of component in it.
This mechanically wound watch has a power reserve of 50 days, an achievement in itself.
This has been achieved by the unique central spine made up of 11 barrels, which run the watch mechanism.
As is expected, the watch also features a tourbillon.
About the materials used: Sapphire crystal watch face, black PVD titanium case and and a strap made from rubber with a PVD titanium buckle.
The Hublot MP 05 is limited of course. Only 50 of them exist and the exclusive buyers will receive the watch in a case wrapped in Schedoni leather and carbon fibre.
Neither Ferrari nor Hublot has said how much the MP 05 will cost. Our educated is, money enough to buy a entry level Ferrari sports car.
