GranTurismo Polonia: Koenigsegg Crash Injures 17
An unfortunate event occurred last week during the 2013 Gran Turismo Polonia, where a Koenigsegg CCX supercar plowed into a crowd of spectators, which even consisted of children. According to official details, 17 people were injured in the accident, of which 4 were seriously injured. Fortunately, no one was killed and all injured are well on their way to recovery.
Gran Turismo Polonia is a supercar parade that is held every year, in Poland's only racetrack, Tor Poznam. The organizers say, the show has been organised for the past 9 years and this is the first time such an incident has occurred. It has also been clarified that the driver was sober at the time of driving and has past experience with driving high performance cars. It is not clear what made the driver lose control of his nearly 800 HP Koenigsegg CCX and authorities are looking into the circumstances that led to the accident.
