Hero MotoCorp 250cc Motorcycle To Be Unveiled At India Auto Expo 2014
Hero MotoCorp is set to unveil its first ever 250cc sports bike. The new performance motorcycle from Hero will break cover at the India Auto Expo 2014 in February.

Details about the said 250cc Hero MotoCorp motorcycle is almost nil. However, it's clear that the bike has been developed with assistance received from its American partner, Erik Buell Racing.
Erik Buell Racing, which has its roots in motorsports and racing, has proved to be a huge asset to the Indian motorcycle giant. Hero, despite its size, is rather small in terms of R&D, but is strengthening its development arm with help from EBR.
The 2014 Karizma and Karizma ZMR feature technological inputs from EBR. But it's the new 250cc motorcycle that we are truly looking forward to since this will be the first Hero in a long time with all next gen technology and design.
Relative to segment leader Bajaj Auto, which has a varied catalogue of sports bikes, Hero MotoCorp is new to the segment and has a lot of catching up to do. But one aspect could change the entire scene and that's pricing. If Hero, with its manufacturing might, is able to undercut rivals such as Honda in terms of pricing the Indian manufacturer will gain an instant edge over foreign manufacturers in the 250cc segment.
With almost every major international manufacturer set to play their part in the small displacement sports bike segment in India one might think things could not get any hotter. But this is just the start.
