Yamaha's New 125cc Scooter Launching Soon
Yamaha India is looking at various angles to build up its scooter segment in India. Currently Yamaha India offers the Ray scooter. The Ray is priced at Rs. 46,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi)
In the coming days, Yamaha is looking to roll an automatic scooter. However the company is looking to roll-out their next scooter in a 125cc avatar.
Currently Yamaha offers the Ray scooter with a 113cc air-cooled, 2 valve, SOHC engine which returns a fuel efficiency of 62 kilometers per liter.
Drivespark believes, Yamaha needs to get their act straight and roll-out more impressive scooters. Archrival Honda has a good foot-hold in the scooter segment in India. If all goes well, Yamaha is slated to launch their new 125cc scooter by mid-2013, which will then take on the likes of Honda Aviator, Activa and Dio - Stay Tuned!
