Honda CBR500R And CB500 Recalled In US
Honda has revealed their 500cc twin cylinder engine motorcycle at the Auto Expo Motor Show in Delhi, 2014. The bike is highly acclaimed all over, however, its India has been delayed due to untold reasons.
The twin cylinder bikes were designed keeping in mind emerging markets, however, they have gain popularity in developed markets. Their current target market is Europe and United States of America.
The CBR500R draws design cues from the litre class CBR1000RR, even the younger CBR300R will sport similar design.

The naked CB500 is the younger sibling of Honda's CB1000 street fighter. In a surprising move though the Japanese giant has ordered a recall of these two models in US.

It is being claimed that a faulty bolt in the rocker arm shaft may have been wrongly manufactured. This may get loose during engine operations, which could cause engine oil leaks or even the bolt coming out of engine head completely.
This problem could stall the bike, resulting in an accident. The Japanese automobile giant will replace the faulty parts for free. They will start the procedure as soon as possible on affected bikes in this month.

Both CBR500R and Cb500 have the same 500cc liquid cooled mill. It generates 47 BHP of power and 43 Nm of torque from a parallel twin cylinder. The goes from naught to 100 km/hr in 5.7 seconds and hits a top speed of 185 km/hr. They weigh almost 200kgs, which is heavy considering it a sports or naked street bike.
Both these bikes will be offered in India with or without ABS, as customers demand. Honda India will launch the CBR300R first and will then go ahead with the 500cc bikes. They have confirmed their CBR650F for a 2015 launch.
We hope when these bikes come to India, which they will there aren't any problems with them. Which bike are you waiting for let us know in the comments below.
