India’s First Kawasaki Versys X-300 Delivered In Pune
Kawasaki Pune delivered India's first Kawasaki Versys X-300 adventure motorcycle. The motorcycle was delivered to Mr Prasad Kamat and became the first owner in the country to take home the small adventure tourer from the Japanese bike manufacturer.

The Kawasaki Versys X-300 was launched in India with prices starting at Rs 4.6 lakh ex-showroom. The Versys X-300 features 17-inch and 17-inch spoked wheels at the front and rear respectively. These spoke wheels offer excellent capability when ridden off-road compared to alloy wheels.

The Kawasaki Versys X-300 is powered by a 290c parallel twin engine which does its duties on the Ninja 300 as well. The unit delivers 38bhp @ 11,500rpm and 25.7Nm of torque @ 10,000rpm mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Kawasaki says the 296cc parallel twin is tuned to deliver smooth, torquey power at low and medium rpm as well as powerful acceleration at high rpm.

The Versys X-300 is equipped with assist & slipper clutch which offers stress-free riding, especially on long journeys. Additionally, the long-travel suspension ensures the Versys X-300 absorbs any imperfect road conditions. The large opening in the fairing promotes airflow when riding to help deflect engine heat away from the rider.

DriveSpark Thinks!
The Kawasaki Versys X-300 is an excellent adventure tourer and is brought to India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route and the reason for the higher price tag of Rs 4.6 lakh. Kawasaki should start assembling the Versys X-300 in India to price the motorcycle competitively in the market.
