Trouve Motor Teases H2 Electric Maxi-Scooter: Can Run Up To 230Kms On A Full Charge

Trouve Motor has teased a new electric maxi scooter. The new electric maxi scooter from Trouve Motor is called the H2, and the company says it is the ‘India's first Hyper-Maxi scooter'.

According to the company, the electric maxi scooter will be available for pre-booking by August 2022. Moreover, Trouve Motor claims that the electric maxi-scooter has been designed in-house at its R&D facility in Bangalore.

In addition to that, the company also claims to have planned to introduce another two maxi scooters in India and all these electric scooters are expected to go on sale in 2023.

Moreover, Trouve Motor has also released a few teaser images of the H2 electric maxi-scooter, giving us glimpses of the upcoming scooter.

According to the released teaser images of the H2, the electric maxi-scooter gets a split footwell like other maxi-scooters in the market. Apart from that, the Trouve H2 maxi scooter also gets an exposed carbon fibre finish with simple green pinstripe accents.

Other noticeable design feature of the H2 electric maxi-scooter is the partially tucked front wheel where a portion of the front wheel sits behind the front apron, a large wind deflector, a low set LED headlamp positioned within the front apron, a stepped seat, sleek-looking taillamp that is positioned behind the seat and the rear number plate holder.

Commenting on the company's upcoming electric scooter, Mr Arun Sunny, Founder of Trouve Motor said, "The electric 2-wheeler segment in India has exponentially grown in the last few years. In 2021 alone, it recorded a staggering 132% growth, indicating that 2022 will be even better. And with the launch of our electric maxi-scooters, we not only aim to contribute to this growth trajectory but also strive to further revolutionize this space by bringing more innovation."

Being an electric scooter, we expect Trouve Motors to pack the H2 maxi-scooter with as much tech as possible and Trouve claims that the H2 maxi-scooter will come with features such as 4G connectivity and in-built Google. These features offer "advanced internet-backed features to riders."

In addition to that, from the teaser image, the suspension duties on the H2 maxi-scooter is handled by USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Moreover, the braking duty on the electric maxi scooter is handled by disc brakes with 2 piston callipers.

Moreover, unlike other scooters in India that run on puny 10 and 12-inch wheels, the Trouce H2 seems to run on larger 14-inch wheels. These add a lot of style to the overall look of the scooter.

Powering the Trouve H2 maxi-scooter is a liquid-cooled electric motor pushing out 10.6bhp of peak power. However, the continuous power of the electric motor is rated at 6.4bhp - which is decent for a scooter of this segment.

Like most electric scooters in the market, the electric motor powering the Trouve H2 maxi-scooter is paired to a single-speed gearbox that drives the rear wheel via a belt drive system.

Thanks to this decent powertrain system, Trouve claims an electric range of between 130-230kms on a fully charged battery pack. If you are feeling keen to see the Trouve H2 in action, the company claims that it has plans to launch and commence deliveries of its first electric maxi-scooter by the first half of 2023.

The Trouve H2 electric maxi-scooter seems to be very promising with its futuristic styling, good feature list and decent powertrain. In addition to that, Trouve H2 does look pretty unique to the current crop of electric scooters in India.
