EICMA 2023: Hero Vida V1 Coupe Revealed - Another Avatar
Hero MotoCorp has revealed its latest offering, the Vida V1 Coupe, at the ongoing EICMA show in Milan, Italy. This unveiling of the Vida V1 Coupe also marked a significant milestone for the company as it announced its entry into Europe with its Vida EV subsidiary.
The Vida V1 Coupe is a unique variant of the V1 Pro electric scooter that was launched in India in October 2022. The V1 Coupe differentiates itself from the standard model through its transformative single-seat design, which can be converted back to a dual-seater.
Like the V1 Pro, the Vida V1 Coupe is equipped with an array of high-tech features. These include cruise control, Boost Mode, keyless ignition, and a seven-inch TFT touchscreen display.
The electric V1 Pro scooter boasts an acceleration time of 0-40kmph in just 3.2 seconds and offers a top speed of 80kmph. The V1 Pro from VIda also comes with four ride modes - Eco, Ride, Sport, and a user-customisable mode, which is also seen on the newly unveiled V1 Pro.
The Vida V1 series is built on a modular, scalable, and flexible platform. The scooters offer two removable batteries and flexible charging options allowing owners to charge up the scooter in the way that suits them the best.
Hero MotoCorp is expected to launch the Vida V1 Coupe in India next year, with a price slightly higher than the V1 Pro.
Speaking at EICMA, Niranjan Gupta, CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said, "We are excited to showcase our latest products and technologies to our stakeholders here who have come from around the world. We are collaborating with highly credible partners in the UK, Spain, and France to start commercial operations in each of these markets by mid-2024. We will first introduce our electric scooter VIDA V1 in these countries and then expand our offerings with high-capacity premium ICE motorcycles and scooters, which are showcased here.
