Ola S1 Pro Battery Pack Costs Rs 87,298 – Tweet Goes Viral
Electric Scooters have gained good momentum in recent years and Ola Electric is one of the leading start-up companies in the Indian electric two-wheeler segment.
Electric vehicles come with many advantages and one of which is that the electric motor and the battery pack in an EV generally comes with a long warranty. However, this also happens to be EVs' weakness since replacing these components can be a costly affair.
Recently, a Twitter user by the name of Tarun Pal shared images of the crate in which the battery packs of the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters were being shipped. These images revealed labels on the respective crates that showed the MRP of the respective battery packs.
According to these leaked images, the 2.98kWh battery pack of the Ola S1 electric scooter costs Rs 66,549, whereas the 3.97kWh battery pack of the more premium Ola S1 Pro electric scooter costs Rs 87,298. This makes replacing the battery pack of the Ola electric scooter a little expensive for most users.
That being said, Ola recently launched new variants of Ola S1 Air and Ola S1 electric scooters. As a result, there are a total of 6 variants of Ola S1 Air and Ola S1 electric scooters in the Indian market- Ola S1 Air (2kWh), Ola S1 Air (3kWh), Ola S1 Air (4kWh), Ola S1 (2kWh), Ola S1(3kWh), and Ola S1 Pro (4kWh).
Thanks to the introduction of these new variants, Ola Electric's product portfolio now offers great flexibility to its customers. In fact, the Ola S1 Air range now starts from Rs 84,999 (Ex-showroom, India) and goes all the way up to Rs 1,09,999 (Ex-showroom, India). Furthermore, the Ola S1 range now starts from Rs 99,999 (Ex-showroom, India).
Thoughts About Ola S1 & S1 Pro Battery Pack Price
These latest leaked images that reveal the MRP of the battery packs of the respective Ola electric scooter will be an eye-opener for many electric scooters in India. However, battery packs in an EV usually have a very long life and any faulty battery pack will be detected in the earlier stages and it will be usually covered under warranty.
