Top 10 Scooters In September 2023 - Activa Continues Its Domination
The scooter segment in India has always witnessed consistent growth in recent years, and the month of September 2023 is no different. In fact, the YoY scooter sales of the top 10 scooter models have grown by more than 6.5 per cent.
Honda Activa (2,35,056 units)
Honda revolutionised the Indian scooter segment with the Activa and the model continues to top the scooter sales figures despite having strong competitors. At present, Honda managed to sell 2,35,056 units of Activa scooter in September 2023. However, YoY growth fell by 4.30 per cent.

TVS Jupiter (83,130 units)
The TVS Jupiter is the second best-selling scooter in India. Though the model is a distant second to the Honda Activa in terms of sales volume, the model still managed to sell 83,130 units in September 2023. Also, YoY sales figures improved by 0.89 per cent.

Suzuki Access (57,041 units)
The Suzuki Access offers solid performance, efficiency and good practicality. In September 2023, Suzuki managed to sell 57,041 units of the Access 125 scooters in India, resulting in a YoY sales increase of almost 22 per cent.

TVS Ntorq (32,103 units)
The TVS Ntorq is a sporty 125cc scooter designed to appeal to the younger demographic. Since its introduction, the TVS Ntorq has been a consistent performer for the automaker and September 2023 is no different with sales figures standing at 32,103 units, resulting in YoY sales increase of 1.92 per cent.

Honda Dio (23,979 units)
Despite the recent update and introduction of special edition, YoY Honda Dio sales figures went down by more than 20 per cent. In terms of numbers, Honda managed to sell just 23,979 units of Dio scooters in September 2023 as opposed to 29,994 units in September 2022.

TVS iQube (20,276 units)
TVS iQube has recently gained very good momentum in the Indian electric scooter segment and the company managed to sell 20,276 units in September 2023. Thanks to this strong sales performance, YoY sales increase stands the highest in this list at more than 311 per cent.

Ola S1 (18,647 units)
Ola Electric has witnessed good traction in the EV segment since its introduction. In September 2023, Ola Electric managed to sell 18,647 units of the Ola S1 range of electric scooters in India, resulting in YoY sales increase of more than 88 per cent.

Suzuki Burgman (17,506 units)
The Suzuki Burgan is styled as a maxi-scooter, and it is actually based on the Suzuki Access 125 scooter platform. In September 2023, Suzuki sold 17,506 units of Burgman scooters in India, accounting for a 35.97 per cent increase in YoY sales figures.

Yamaha RayZR (15,904 units)
The Yamaha RayZR continues to be a decent performer for the Japanese automaker, however, its sales figures are still nowhere close to its competitors. In September 2023, Yamaha managed to sell just 15,904 units of RayZR scooters, resulting in a 95.31 per cent YoY sales increment.

Hero Destini (15,270 units)
The Hero Destini has managed to gain decent traction in the scooter segment. Moreover, the manufacturer managed to sell 15,270 units in September 2023. This sales performance has resulted in a YoY sales improvement of more than 2.1 per cent.

Thoughts About Top 10 Scooters In September 2023
The YoY sales of the top 10 scooters in September 2023 increased by more than 6 per cent. We expect this trend to continue for a few months as well. Also, it is worth mentioning that the market share of scooters have increased over the past few years.
