Honda CBR600RR Supersport – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Honda showcased the new CBR600RR motorcycle at the EICMA 2023. This move has surprised many Honda fans as the model has been absent in the European motorcycle market for more than 6 years.
The Honda CBR600RR is an iconic motorcycle and a great tool for track use. That being said, here are the top 5 things you need to know about the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle showcased at the EICMA 2023.

Honda CBR600RR Design
The new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle showcased at EICMA 2023 has received plenty of design updates. This includes the addition of aerodynamic winglets, twin-pod LED headlights, and central air intakes.
Though Honda has modernised the design elements to current trend, it is nice to see that the Japanese automaker has retained the iconic underseat exhaust - Which apparently is a design feature that is non-existent in modern bikes.

To make the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle more alive, Honda has given the model its signature triple-tone colour combination consisting of Red, Blue, and White shades. This colour combination also helps many Honda fans better associate with the motorcycle.
Honda CBR600RR Aerodynamics
As mentioned, the new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle now comes equipped with Aerodynamic winglets. However, these winglets are not just a showpiece but according Honda, they are functional as they improve straight line and cornering stability of the bike.

Honda CBR600RR Powertrain
The new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle is powered by a 599cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. This engine in the Honda CBR600RR is tuned to produce 119bhp at 14,250rpm and 63Nm of peak torque at 11,500rpm.
The new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle also comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch. That being said, we are not sure if Honda has equipped the new CBR600RR motorcycle with a quickshifter.

Honda CBR600RR Electronics
The new Honda CBR600RR motorcycle is a very well-equipped modern bike with electronic aids such as a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, a nine-level traction control, wheelie control, engine braking management, and an ECU-controlled electronic steering damper. The model also features a full-colour TFT display as well.
Honda CBR600RR Hardware
In terms of hardware, the Honda CBR600RR motorcycle comes equipped with 41mm USD forks at the front and a Honda Pro-link mono suspension at the rear. It is also worth mentioning that both suspension units are fully adjustable.

Braking prowess comes from a pair of 310mm disc brakes at the front grabbed by four-piston calipers, whereas the rear features a 220mm disc brake with a single-piston caliper. Also, the model features Dunlop Roadsport 2 tyres.
Thoughts About The New Honda CBR600RR
We do not expect Honda to bring the new CBR600RR motorcycle to India given the lack of demand for middle-weight motorcycles in the country. That being said, we do appreciate Honda for bringing back the iconic motorcycle to the European market and retaining the underseat exhaust.
