TVS Apache RTR 310 – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
TVS Motor Company launched the much-awaited naked version of the Apache RR310 motorcycle. This new flagship naked motorcycle is called the TVS Apache RTR 310, and here are the top 5 things about this new motorcycle.
Price: The newly launched TVS Apache RTR 310 motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.43 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the TVS Apache RTR 310 approximately Rs 29,000 more affordable than the fully-faired TVS Apache RR310 motorcycle.
Engine: The new TVS Apache RTR 310 motorcycle uses the same 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the TVS Apache RR310. However, in the TVS Apache RTR 310, it produces slightly less power and torque at 35bhp at 9,700rpm and 28.7Nm of torque at 6,650rpm.
On top of that, this engine also comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch, and a bi-directional quickshifter. Both of these features will complement the sporty nature of the Apache RTR 310 motorcycle.
Performance: Given the powertrain, the new TVS Apache RTR 310 is quite an 'explosive' motorcycle with a 0-60km/h sprint taking just 2.81 seconds. Moreover, the motorcycle can hit a top speed of around 150km/h.
Hardware: The new TVS Apache RTR 310 motorcycle uses a similar trellis frame as the Apache RR 310 motorcycle. However, the rear subframe is quite different as it sharply raises towards the rear.
Apart from that, the new TVS Apache RTR 310 uses adjustable USD forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear. Moreover, the suspension features adjustment for preload, compression and rebound.
Features: Noticeable features on the new TVS Apache RTR 310 motorcycle include a new landscape-oriented 5.0-inch TFT screen, all-LED lighting, cruise control, TPMS, dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, and much more.
Thoughts: The new TVS Apache RTR 310 motorcycle is a lot more affordable than the TVS Apache RR310 motorcycle. Also, given the tried-and-tested hardware, we expect this new motorcycle to quickly become a best-seller in its segment.
