TVS Raider 'Marvel' Edition Launched In India At Rs 98,919 - Available In Two Guises
TVS Motors has launched the new TVS Raider 'Marvel' edition motorcycle in India at Rs 98,919 (ex-showroom). This new special edition motorcycle is called the TVS Raider Super Squad Edition and draws inspiration from the Marvel Super Heroes.
This new TVS Raider Marvel edition motorcycle is available in two guises - Black Panther and Iron Man. As such, both of these variants wear colour schemes representing the respective Marvel Super Hero.
Commenting on the launch, Aniruddha Haldar, Senior Vice President (Marketing) - Commuters and Corporate Brand & Dealer Transformation said, "The launch of TVS Raider Super Squad Edition with two iconic Marvel characters marks another step in our successful collaboration journey with Marvel."
Looking at the images, the newly launched TVS Raider Super Squad Edition motorcycle will be available with sporty split seats. Also, the model is not likely to sport the SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity as well.
Speaking about the TVS Raider, the motorcycle is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, SOHC engine. This engine is capable of producing 11.2bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
In addition to that, this engine sends the power and torque to the rear wheels via a 5-speed gearbox. Thanks to this powertrain, the company claims that the motorcycle can sprint to 60km/h from a standstill in just 5.9 seconds.
In terms of hardware, the TVS Raider motorcycle comes with a telescopic suspension at the front and a 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. On the other hand, braking duties are handled by a large 240mm single disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear.
At present, prices for the TVS Raider motorcycle starts at Rs 95,219 (ex-showroom) for the single-seat variant. On the other hand, the split-seat variant of the motorcycle costs an additional Rs 1,000.
However, the top-spec SmartXonnect variant of the TVS Raider motorcycle costs Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant comes with a bigger 5-inch TFT display and SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity feature.
Some of the highlighting features of the SmartXonnect variant include turn-by-turn navigation, voice commands, call alerts, message notifications, and music control. In addition to these features, the SmartXonnect variant also features two riding modes - ECO and Power.

The launch of the TVS Raider Super Squad Edition ahead of the festive season is expected to attract plenty of young riders. This increased attention among its target audience is expected to significantly boost the sales of the TVS Raider motorcycle in the coming months.
