Aprilia Tuono 457 India Bound In Few Months: Revealed At EICMA 2024
Aprilia Tuono 457 - the brand's newest entry into the mid-weight segment. The latest addition to Aprilia's growing 457 platform builds on the hype created by the RS457, staying true to the brand's aggressive design language while carving out its own naked streetfighter identity. Here's a closer look at what makes this model one of the year's most anticipated rides.
Aggressive Styling
Aprilia's new Tuono 457 hits the mark with its bold, street-oriented design. The bike sports a compact, bug-eye headlamp, complete with LED daytime running lights that give it a sharp, distinct look.

Adding to its aesthetic is a red spoiler beneath the headlamp, emphasizing its low-slung, mean stance. Topping it all off is a vibrant TFT display for the instrument cluster. Unlike its sibling, the RS457, the Tuono skips the windscreen, leaving the front end raw and ready for action.
Built on the 457 Platform
The Tuono 457 inherits its perimeter frame and swingarm from the RS457, making it structurally sound and easy to handle. Aprilia kept the design cohesive with a two-tiered seat setup positioned at a comfortable 800 mm height, balanced by a single-piece handlebar and rearset footpegs.
Together, these features ensure a sporty yet upright riding posture ideal for both city streets and weekend getaways. The radiator shrouds and tank design echo the RS457, creating a familiar yet distinct look.
Potent Engine and Rider Aids
Under the hood, the Tuono 457 runs on a 457 cc parallel-twin engine-the same powertrain that drives the RS457. Producing 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a six-speed transmission and comes with three riding modes, traction control, and ABS.

What's new is an updated final drive ratio, promising better low-end torque and improved power-to-weight dynamics that will make the Tuono a thrilling, responsive ride.
Suspension, Braking, and Exhaust
The Tuono 457 shares the RS457's suspension setup, featuring preload-adjustable USD forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both wheels, offering solid stopping power for confident handling.
Aprilia has also gone with an underseat exhaust and similar wheel design, keeping the Tuono 457 consistent with the RS while adding a streamlined, naked appeal.
Expected Launch and Pricing
Aprilia has confirmed that the Tuono 457 will soon be available in global markets, with an expected India launch in early 2025.
With a pared-down design and fewer body panels than the RS457, the Tuono 457 is likely to be priced slightly lower, making it a tempting entry point for riders looking for Aprilia's quality and performance in a more accessible package.
