Bajaj Auto Unveils Chetak 3201 Special Edition With Enhanced Features

Bajaj Auto has introduced the Chetak 3201 Special Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). This special edition is based on the top-spec Premium variant and will be available on Amazon starting August 5. After the introductory period, the price will increase to Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Features and Design

The Chetak 3201 special edition comes exclusively in Brooklyn Black. It features 'Chetak' decals on the side panels, scuff plates, and a two-tone quilted seat. Despite these visual changes, the overall design remains similar to its premium counterpart.

This special edition includes a colour TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, call alerts, and customisable themes. It also offers hill-hold control and an additional 'Sport’ ride mode as part of the TecPac software package.

Battery and Performance

The Chetak 3201 special edition is equipped with a 3.2 kWh battery pack, identical to the Premium variant. While the regular Chetak Premium has an ARAI-certified range of up to 127 km, Bajaj claims a higher range of 136 km for this special edition. The top speed remains unchanged at 73 mph.

Market Competition

The special edition Bajaj Chetak 3201 will compete with other electric scooters such as the Ather Rizta Z (Rs 1.45 lakh), Ola S1 Pro (Rs 1.34 lakh), and TVS iQube S (Rs 1.46 lakh), all prices ex-showroom.

This launch follows Bajaj Auto's recent announcement of a new naming nomenclature for its electric scooter lineup. The Chetak Premium will now be renamed as Chetak 'Blue Line 3201’. The introduction of this special edition aims to offer enhanced features while maintaining the classic appeal of the Chetak series.
