EICMA 2024: Ducati Streetfighter V2 Revealed - Streetfighter Gets Leaner & Meaner

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has revealed the new Streetfighter V2 and V2 S. The new Ducati Streetfighter V2 sports the firm's brand-new Superquadro 890cc V-twin Superquadro engine and has undergone a big diet, making it the lightest Streetfighter from the Bologna marque.

The new Ducati Streetfighter V2 is 18 kilogrammes lighter than its predecessor with the "regular" Streetfighter V2 weighing 178kg while the more premium V2 S version is a further 3 kilos lighter at 175kg (wet weight without any fuel).

Powering this new lighter and meaner Streetfighter V2 is the new 890cc V-twin Superquadro engine that replaces the more powerful 955cc Superquadro V-twin of the new naked bike's predecessor. Power is down from 150bhp to 118bhp while torque has gone down from 101Nm to 93.3Nm all thanks to the downsizing of the powerplant.

The new Streetfighter V2 borrows quite a few parts from the all-new Panigale V2 including the aforementioned engine. Other parts shared include the 6-speed gearbox with straight-cut gears and the Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 (for both up and downshifts).

The new Streetfighter V2 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with six Y-shaped spokes that come draped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres - 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 190/55 ZR17 (rear). Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm disc brakes clamped by radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M50 piston callipers at the front and a single 245mm disc brake clamped by 2-piston callipers.
