Hero MotoCorp Registers Impressive Sales Growth In June
Hero MotoCorp maintained its leadership in the two-wheeler market with domestic sales reaching 4,90,743 units last month. This marked a 16.09% increase compared to the 4,22,740 units sold in the same period the previous year. Despite strong motorcycle sales, the scooter segment declined as buyers leaned towards electric scooters.
Hero Splendor Leads Sales
The Hero Splendor topped the sales charts in June 2024 with 3,05,586 units sold, capturing a 62.27% share. This represented a 28.21% year-on-year growth from the 2,38,340 units sold in June 2023, an increase of 67,246 units.

HF Deluxe sales saw a slight rise of 0.75%, with 89,941 units sold last month compared to 89,275 units in June 2023. The Hero Glamour experienced significant growth of 115.88%, selling 24,159 units compared to 11,191 units in June last year.
Performance of Other Models
The newly launched Hero Xtreme 125R secured the fourth spot on the company's domestic sales list with 21,054 units sold and a market share of 4.29%. This sports bike is priced at Rs 95,000 for the IBS variant and Rs 99,500 for ABS (ex-showroom).

Sales of the Hero Passion dropped by 72.45% year-on-year to 13,100 units from last year's 47,554 units. The Destini 125 continued to attract buyers with sales increasing by 45.24% to reach 11,140 units last month.
Scooter Segment Trends
The Hero Pleasure also saw improved demand with an increase of 11.78% year-on-year to sell 8,777 units domestically. However, the Xoom scooter's sales fell by 45.04%, dropping to 4,906 units from last year's figure of 8,926.

Lower down on the list was the Vida electric scooter which recorded a significant improvement in sales by 46.34% year-on-year to reach 4,039 units from last year's figure of 2,760.
Other Notable Performances
The Hero XPulse 200 saw its sales grow by 10.68% to reach a total of 3,959 units last month while Xtreme models (160/200) increased slightly by 1.39% to sell a combined total of around 3,138 units.

The Karizma 210 contributed 476 units to domestic sales while the Maverick 400 added another 459 units. The Maestro scooter saw a drastic decline in sales by 99.64%, selling only nine units compared to 2,500 units sold in June last year. Total domestic sales for Hero MotoCorp stood at 4,90,743 units in June 2024, up from 4,22,740 units sold in June 2023.
