Hero Xpulse 210 Vs Xpulse 200 4V: Powertrain, Suspension, & More

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the new Xpulse 210 at EICMA 2024, showcasing a slightly modified engine from the Karizma XMR 210. This model is expected to be sold alongside the existing Xpulse 200 4V. Let's explore how these two models differ in various aspects.

Engine Specifications

The current Xpulse 200 4V features a 199cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox, delivering 19.1hp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm. In contrast, the upcoming Xpulse 210 is equipped with a more powerful 210cc liquid-cooled engine, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, producing 24.6hp at 9,250rpm and torque of 20.7Nm at 7,250rpm.

Weight Comparison

Weighing in at 170kg, the Xpulse 210 is heavier by about 11kg compared to the Xpulse 200 4V. Although Hero hasn't disclosed specific reasons for this increase, it might be attributed to the new powertrain and design updates.

Suspension Details

The suspension system on the Xpulse models varies significantly. The Xpulse 200 4V offers front travel of 190mm and rear travel of 170mm. Meanwhile, the Xpulse 210 boasts longer suspension travel with measurements of 210mm at the front and 205mm at the rear. For comparison, the Pro variant of the outgoing model provides even greater travel: front suspension of up to 250mm and rear suspension of up to 220mm.

Feature Enhancements

The feature set also sees an upgrade in the new model. The existing Xpulse 200 4V includes a monotone LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity, ABS modes, and navigation capabilities. The new Xpulse 210 introduces a modernised experience with a fresh 4.2-inch TFT display that likely retains these features while potentially adding riding modes.

Price Expectations

Currently priced at Rs.1.47 lakh for the standard version and Rs.1.54 lakh for the Pro variant (ex-showroom Delhi), the Xpulse models are competitively positioned in their segment. The anticipated price for the new Xpulse 210 is expected to be higher by approximately Rs.20,000 to Rs.30,000 compared to its predecessor.
