Hero Xpulse Fans Rejoice! Bigger Adventure Bike Coming Soon
Calling all adventure enthusiasts in India! The wait for a bigger, more powerful Hero Xpulse is finally nearing its end. While the Royal Enfield Himalayan has received a recent upgrade, Hero MotoCorp is set to unveil a larger Xpulse within the next two years.
Xpulse 200: A Gateway to Adventure
Launched in 2019, the Hero Xpulse 200 introduced many Indian riders to the world of off-roading. Its affordability, comfort, and off-road capabilities made it a popular choice. However, some riders, like the author of this article, eventually craved more power and highway performance.

The Bigger Xpulse: What to Expect
The good news is that Hero MotoCorp understands this need for an upgrade path. They are actively developing a bigger Xpulse to cater to existing Xpulse 200 owners and prevent them from migrating to competitors like Royal Enfield and KTM.
Development Delays and Engine Rumors
The project faced setbacks due to engine design challenges. The initial rumors pointed towards a 400cc, liquid-cooled engine producing around 35bhp and 35Nm of torque. However, this engine didn't meet performance expectations.

A New Contender: The 440cc Engine
Recent sightings of a test mule with a larger air-cooled engine sparked speculation. This engine could be the 440cc unit found on the Hero-backed Mahindra Mojo 440 and the Harley-Davidson X440. This engine is known for its excellent low- and mid-range power, refinement, and extensive testing, making it a strong contender for the bigger Xpulse.
Possible Reveal at EICMA?
While the official launch is expected by late 2025 or early 2026, there's a chance to see a concept version later this year at EICMA, a major motorcycle trade show in Milan. Hero MotoCorp typically only showcases concepts with confirmed production plans.

A Brighter Future for Xpulse
The arrival of the bigger Xpulse will solidify Hero's presence in the adventure motorcycle segment. With its potential 440cc engine and focus on power and performance, it's set to challenge the dominance of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and offer Indian riders a compelling new option for exploring the great outdoors.
