KTM 1290 Super Adventure S Launched At Rs 22.74 Lakh - The Orange Adventure Flagship
KTM has finally brought its premium big bike range to India. The Austrian firm's flagship ADV, the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is priced at Rs 22.74 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S features a semi-faired design with a vertical-split LED headlight above which sits an adjustable windscreen that can be raised and lowered depending on your preference. The seat height can be adjusted as well.

The 1290 Super Adventure S is powered by KTM's 1,301cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that also powers the newly launched Superduke 1390 R. In the 1290 Super Adventure S, the LC8 engine pushes out 158bhp and 138Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
The Super Adventure S features a lightweight, chrome-molybdenum stainless steel trellis frame featuring laser-cut tubes that are suspended off semi-active suspension - WP USD XPLOR front forks and a PDS monoshock at the rear in conjunction with a die-cast, open-lattice swingarm.

Braking duties are carried out by dual 320mm discs at the front and a 267mm rear disc aided by cornering ABS & offroad ABS from Bosch. The Super Adventure 1290 S rides on 19" (front) and 17" (rear) cast spoked wheels that come shod with Tubeless Terra Force R tyres fitted with TPMS sensors.
Other highlights of the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S include a 7-inch TFT dash with adjustable angles that connects with the KTMConnect app to offer Turn-by-Turn navigation, illuminated switches, LED lighting setup, 4 riding modes - Rain, Street, Offroad and Rally. The Super Adventure S also features separate rider & passenger seats, a 23-litre three-part fuel tank and a USB phone compartment with an integrated socket.
