KTM High-Performance Off-Road Bikes Launched In India – 50SX, 65 X, 85 SX, 250 SX-F, 350 EXC-F, & 450 SX-F

KTM has decided to bring its off-road and Enduro bikes to India with the launch of 250 SX-F, 350 EXC-F, & 450 SX-F bikes. Out of these bikes, the 250 SX-F, and 450 SX-F are purpose-built motocross bikes, whereas the 350 EXC-F is an Enduro bike.

Furthermore, to mould younger generation racers, KTM has also launched its entry-level 50SX, 65 X, and 85 SX purpose-built off-road bikes in the country.

250 SX-F

The 250 SX-F is a track-only motocross motorcycle and costs Rs 9.58 lakh (ex-showroom). This new motorcycle from KTM directly competes against the Kawasaki KX250, which is more than a lakh cheaper at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).

Since the KTM 250 SX-F is a purpose-built motorcycle, it comes with some stellar piece of equipment as standard including WP Xact Aer forks up front and WP Xact rear monoshock with full adjustability. Other highlighting features include launch control, quick shifter, and selectable engine maps.

Under the skin, the 250 SX-F packs in a 249.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with 46bhp and 26.5Nm of torque. Also, thanks to its central double-cradle steel frame, and minimal body panels, the bike weighs just 104kg.

450 SX-F

The KTM 450 SX-F is also a purpose-built motorcycle, priced at Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom). This model uses a 449.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The KTM 450 SX-F also comes with two engine maps, along with traction control. Like, the 250 SX-F, the 450 SX-F uses a central double-cradle frame with 48mm WP XACT adjustable fork at the front and WP XACT monoshock at the rear, each with 310mm and 300mm travel, respectively.

In terms of braking equipment, the bike comes equipped with a 260mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike also weighs just 103.9kg (without fuel), making way for an impressive power-to-weight ratio.

350 EXC-F

The KTM 350 EXC-F is an Enduro motorcycle. Moreover, unlike the 250 & 450 SX-F motorcycles, the 350 EXC-F gets a headlamp and taillamp. This motorcycle is priced at Rs 12.96 lakh (ex-showroom).

For this price, you get a 349.7cc, single-cylinder engine with 45bhp, which with the bike's kerb weight of 103.2kg, makes way for an incredible power-to-weight ratio. The model also comes equipped with traction control, quick shifter, and two engine maps.

In terms of equipment, the KTM 350 EXC-F uses a central double-cradle frame with a fully adjustable WP Explor suspension setup. The bike also comes with 21-inch and 18-inch wheels shod with Metzeler Extreme knobby tyres.

KTM 50 SX, 65 X, & 85 SX

KTM also launched its smaller capacity motocross models such as the 50 SX, 65 X, and 85 SX. These models are priced at Rs 4.75 lakh, Rs 5,46,500, and Rs 6,69,000 (ex-showroom), respectively.

The KTM 50 SX uses a 49.9cc, single-cylinder two-stroke engine with 5.4bhp and 5.2Nm of torque. Since this is an entry-level model for budding racers to train, it comes with a single-gear automatic setup.

On the other hand, both the 65 X, and 85 SX use single-cylinder engines with 6-speed gearboxes. In contrast, the 65 X puts out 10.6bhp, the bigger 85 SX belts out healthier 16.4bhp and 14Nm of torque.

It is also worth mentioning that, all three models come equipped with the same XACT 35 WP USD 35 mm front forks, and a monoshock. Furthermore, the brakes comprise a 160mm front and rear unit for the 50 SX, whereas the 65 X and the 85 SX use slightly bigger brakes.
