EICMA 2024: Royal Enfield Classic 650 Unveiled - Classic Goes Big With Twin
Indian-owned British motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has revealed the all-new Classic 650 at EICMA 2024, the 110th edition of the motorcycle show from Milan, Italy. Prices for the Royal Enfield Classic 650 for India will be revealed at the Motoverse gathering later this month.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 sees the iconic Classic motorcycle achieve its largest form as it finally takes on the firm's largest engine to date and the platform that has been based around the parallel twin powerplant.

All the elements of the Classic have been added onto the latest and largest motorcycle to date to bear that nameplate. The new Classic 650 embraces the chrome and substantial curves that make the Classic such an iconic nameplate.
It sports features like a chrome-enhanced fuel tank, round headlamp, wide handlebars, and retro fenders. However, the new bike adds twin peashooter exhausts to show the world just what powers its largest-ever avatar.

Underneath the curves and the shiny bits attached to them is the tried and tested 648cc parallel-twin engine that pushes out 47bhp and 52Nm of peak torque all of which is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox that features a slipper clutch for easier shifts.
The new Classic 650 shares its chassis with the Super Meteor and the Shotgun 650 and the new bike features a 41mm front fork and twin shocks at the rear. Disc brakes at both ends provide the stopping power and are aided by dual-channel ABS and the Classic 650 rides on spoked wheels.

The dash unit features a digital LCD screen with an odometer, trip metre, fuel level
indicator, service reminder, gear position indicator and clock. The Classic 650 gets dual seats as standard equipment, though the pillion seat and rack can be removed using a single bolt on mechanism.
Speaking about the new Royal Enfield Classic 650 at EICMA 2024, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield, said, "The Classic is what keeps us rooted and real to our philosophy of pure motorcycling. The new Classic 650 not only upholds and embodies this spirit, it serves it up in a double measure on our world-class 650 Twin platform. We've stayed true to the Classic's purpose and character, and retained its quintessential style, design and elegance. With its fine craftsmanship, majestic road-presence, and refined powertrain we believe this motorcycle will resonate deeply with our customers"
