Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 Revealed - A Legend Returns In Electric Guise
Indian-owned British motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has revealed its first-ever EV, the Flying Flea C6. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 was revealed to the world on the eve of EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy.
The Royal Enfield Flying Flea takes its name from the 125cc, single-cylinder Flying Flea motorcycle that was used by British army paratroopers fighting the Nazis in World War II. The bike was used to help deliver messages between paratroopers and other troops when radio communications were not possible.

The Flying Flea C6 features a rather unique design with circular head and taillights. The front suspension setup is a girder fork with an aluminium frame that connects it to the rest of the bike. The bike also features a single seat along with a faux fuel tank underneath which sits the battery pack with a cover that looks like engine cooling fins.
Royal Enfield didn't reveal any details about the powertrain of the Flying Flea C6 but it did reveal that it gets features like traction control, cornering ABS and other electronic safety aids and that it would have a range that was more than enough for excursions outside city limits. Other highlights include a TFT display, large alloy wheels and disc brakes.

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 wasn't the only bike that the Chennai-based marque teased at the event. Royal Enfield also teased a Flying Flea Scrambler dubbed the Flying Flea S6 which is expected to be revealed in a few month's time. The firm also showcased the newest version of the Himalayan electric test bed that was first revealed at EICMA 2023.
Royal Enfield is expected to reveal more details about the Flying Flea and its petrol-powered cousins like the new Bear 650 at its EICMA 2024 presser that starts tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. IST from Milan, Italy.
