Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Spotted Ahead Of EICMA Debut
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally has been spotted in all its glory ahead of its debut at EICMA 2024 tomorrow in Milan. The 450 Rally was spied at the Royal Enfield booth at the EICMA 2024 show by Instagram user moto.scoop.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally on the booth was still covered up but the updated features for the new version of the Himalayan 450 are quite visible. The Himalayan 450 Rally sports hand guards, a handlebar brace pad, a rally seat and rally-style rear cowls while skipping the grab rail and the tail rack.

The Himalayan 450 Rally will make its debut at EICMA tomorrow and a few weeks later at Motoverse 2024 to check out the response for the new version of the ADV in India. The Himalayan 450 Rally is expected to go on sale in international markets as a new variant of the marque's ADV in said markets.
The plans for India are still to be ascertained, though reports do suggest that the new "Rally" parts could be sold as separate accessories for the regular Himalayan 450. However, there is a chance that Royal Enfield could bring the "Rally" as a different variant of the Himalayan 450 depending on the response from the brand's faithful at its showcase fan event - Motoverse - which will take place in Goa's Vagator from November 22 to 24.
Mechanically, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally is expected to be unchanged compared to the "regular" Himalayan 450. This means that it sports the liquid-cooled Sherpa engine that pushes out 39.5bhp and 40Nm of peak torque which is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
The Himalayan 450 features USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The front wheel is a 21-inch unit while the rear is a 17-inch unit. Both wheels are spoked units and feature tubed tyres. Braking duties on the new Himalayan are taken care of by disc brakes on both ends that are aided by dual-channel ABS.
The Himalayan 450 weighs in at 196 kgs and the new Rally variant could end up slightly more heavier than the regular bike. The Rally is expected to offer the same 230mm of ground clearance.
