Royal Enfield Experiences Mixed Sales Results In June
Royal Enfield has experienced a year-on-year (YoY) decline in sales but reported a month-on-month (MoM) growth. The company's 350cc range remains popular, with the Meteor 350 receiving positive feedback. Additionally, Royal Enfield has introduced the Guerrilla 450, priced between Rs 2.39 lakh and Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
In June 2024, Royal Enfield's domestic sales reached 66,117 units, marking a 2.04% YoY decrease from the 67,495 units sold in June 2023. However, this was a MoM increase of 4.07% compared to the 63,531 units sold in May 2024. The company's 350cc models continued to dominate the market, although only the Meteor 350 saw an uptick in demand.

Royal Enfield Sales Performance
The Classic 350 led sales despite an 8.15% YoY drop to 24,803 units from the previous year's 27,003 units. This model holds a significant share of 37.51% in the company's portfolio. Royal Enfield plans to launch a facelift version of the Classic 350 later this year.
The Hunter 350 ranked second with a YoY sales decline of 3.42%, selling 15,609 units compared to last year's 16,162 units. The Bullet 350 experienced a sharper decline of 22.12%, with sales falling to 9,610 units from June 2023's figure of 12,339 units.

Meteor and Himalayan Models
The Meteor 350 saw a notable increase in sales by 17.79% YoY to reach 8,085 units from last year's figure of 6,864 units. A new variant called Aurora has been introduced for the Meteor 350, available in Green, Blue, and Black colours and priced at Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
Sales for the Himalayan model dropped by 5.93% YoY to total at 3,062 units compared to June last year's count of 3,255 units. Despite this dip, there was strong demand for both the company's new models: the Super Meteor and the Twins series.
650 Twins and Super Meteor
The company saw impressive growth for its newer models; sales of the Super Meteor surged by an astounding rate of over threefold at approximately +375%. The Twins series also performed well with a near doubling (+95%) in their sales figures.
On a MoM basis for June '24 versus May '24: Classic grew by +4%, Hunter +3%, Bullet +2%. However; Meteor fell slightly (-1%). Himalayan & Twins were down (-7% & -4%). Super Meteor had remarkable growth (+130%).

Royal Enfield continues to see fluctuating trends across its various models but remains committed to expanding its product lineup with upcoming launches like Bullet & Classic variants within their popular segments.
