Yamaha Ray ZR125 Scooters Hit Milestone In European Export
Yamaha Motor India has announced the export of over 13,400 units of the Ray ZR125 scooter to Europe. These exports occurred between January and July, reaching 27 European countries. Major markets include the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Greece, and Portugal.
Yamaha Ray ZR 125: Engine Specifications
The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 shares its engine with the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid. It features a 125 cc air-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power of 8.1 bhp at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This engine configuration ensures reliable performance for both models.

In India, the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 is priced between ₹85,030 and ₹96,730 ex-showroom. The scooter is available in three variants: Drum, Disc, and Monster Energy MotoGP Edition. Colour options include Metallic Black, Cyan Blue, and Matte Red for the drum variant; Cyan Blue, Matte Red, and Metallic Black along with Racing Blue and Dark Matte Blue for the disc variant.

The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 for Europe is manufactured at Yamaha's plant in Tamil Nadu and exported overseas. Mr. Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies stated, "It is indeed a moment of pride that the Made-in-India Yamaha's Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid is witnessing a phenomenal response in Europe. This feat speaks volumes of the superior quality this scooter embodies which is in line with global trends."

He further added that this success highlights Yamaha's ability to meet high expectations not only in India but also in mature markets like Europe. "In addition," he said, "this milestone gives our effort to establish India as a manufacturing hub for Yamaha globally a much-needed boost." He expressed confidence in maintaining this momentum and replicating success in other mature markets.
The positive reception of the Ray ZR 125 in Europe underscores its quality and appeal across different regions. The model's success abroad also reflects well on India's manufacturing capabilities for global markets.
