2025 Hero Splendor Plus Spied - Big Upgrade Plus New Colour Options
The Hero Splendor has been the undisputed champion in India's commuter motorcycle segment for ages and has cemented itself as a household name. Now, Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to give this icon some much-needed updates and spy shots of the 2025 Splendor Plus at a dealership have confirmed this.
One of the biggest changes spotted on the upcoming 2025 Hero Splendor Plus is the introduction of a front disc brake. While this might seem like a small update to those who've ridden bikes with disc brakes for ages, it's a major leap forward for the Splendor, which has traditionally relied on drum brakes.
Another update comes in the form of fresh new colour schemes. The spy shots reveal a new Matte Axis Grey shade, which looks rather nice. Alongside this, Hero is also bringing back a Candy Red variant, reminiscent of the early 2000s models that many fans might remember fondly.
Underneath the refreshed looks, the 2025 Splendor Plus retains its tried-and-tested 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine has been the heart of the Splendor for years, delivering 7.91bhp and 8.05Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox and delivers a claimed mileage of 70km/l (ARAI).
Pricing for the updated 2025 Hero Splendor Plus model is expected to hover around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is around Rs 3,000 more than the current version of the commuter motorcycle.
With the addition of a disc brake and new colours, the value proposition of the Splendor Plus remains strong, ensuring that Hero continues to dominate the commuter motorcycle space and hopefully keep the Activa off its back.
