Kawasaki Ninja 250 & Z250 Updated: Sale Starts On November
Kawasaki has announced the 2026 versions of the Ninja 250 and the Z250, which will go on sale in Japan from November 1, 2025. The updated models focus primarily on cosmetic enhancements. Prices start at 726,000 yen (Rs 4.35 lakh, approximately) for the 2026 Ninja 250 and 704,000 yen (Rs 4.24 lakh, approximately) for the Z250.
For 2026, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 receives new dual-tone colour schemes and updated graphics. The two new options include Metallic Carbon Gray with Metallic Yellowish Green, and Galaxy Silver with Candy Persimmon Red. The first combination features a predominantly black body accented by sporty yellowish-green graphics across the front cowl, side fairing, and panels beneath the rear seat.

The second colour option is far more dynamic, combining red, black, and white shades in a lively, asymmetric pattern. The contrasting hues give the bike a striking and playful character, balancing aggression with visual flair.
Design-wise, the Ninja 250 remains largely unchanged. It continues with its sharp, compact silhouette, twin LED headlamps with integrated position lamps, a sculpted fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, split seats, and an upswept exhaust. The semi-digital instrument cluster retains its familiar layout, featuring an analogue tachometer paired with a multifunction LCD screen that displays gear position, clock, speed, fuel gauge, trip meter, odometer, and average fuel efficiency.
The 2026 Kawasaki Z250, which shares most of its underpinnings with the Ninja 250, continues to distinguish itself with its naked design. It features a unique headlamp and front cowl design, handlebar-mounted mirrors, a smaller visor, and distinct tank extensions. Its LCD instrument cluster is semi-circular in layout, with an old-school appearance and a needle-type tachometer.
For 2026, the Z250 is offered in a single colour - Ebony with Metallic Carbon Gray. The new colour scheme introduces subtle changes across the headlamp cowl, tank, frame, and tail section, complemented by refreshed graphics.
Both the Ninja 250 and Z250 are powered by the same 248cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin-cylinder engine producing 35 PS and 22 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycles deliver a fuel efficiency of 25.1 km/l. Braking duties are handled by a 310 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc.
Both bikes ride on 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 front and 140/70 rear tyres. Seat height is 795 mm, and fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres. Ground clearance is 145 mm on both models. The Z250 weighs 164 kg, while the Ninja 250 tips the scales slightly higher at 166 kg.
