BSA Bantam 350 Unveiled As Entry-Level Offering For The UK
BSA Motorcycle has reintroduced the Bantam name in the UK by unveiling the all-new Bantam 350. The new Bantam 350 looks to based on the Jawa 42 FJ but features unique styling elements. The Bantam 350 will serve as BSA's entry-level model in the UK and is anticipated to be available soon in European markets.
The Bantam 350 shares its chassis and suspension components with the Jawa 42 FJ, yet it boasts a more streamlined body design. It is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled Alpha 2 engine, which is common across the Jawa-Yezdi lineup. This single-cylinder engine produces 29hp and 28.95Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Design and Features
While the Bantam name might not be widely recognised in India, the motorcycle itself bears a resemblance to the Jawa 42 FJ. It features an upward-swept single-piece seat, handlebar design, headlight, twin rear shocks, and wheels similar to those of the FJ.
Additionally, it incorporates bar-end mirrors, indicators, and the small tail lamp that pops up from the rear fender from another Classic Legends product, the Yezdi Roadster.
One notable difference in design is that the Bantam 350 has a single exhaust pipe compared to the twin pipes found on Jawas.

The original BSA Bantam was a series of lightweight two-stroke motorcycle produced from 1948 to 1971. Displacements of these BSA Bantams ranged from 123cc to 173cc and they were quite popular offerings from the British marque.
The Bantam 350 is developed for European and other global markets. Currently, BSA operates in twelve countries worldwide: India, UK, Turkey, New Zealand, Philippines, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Australia and Japan. After its debut in the UK and Europe, it is expected to be launched in the United States.
Classic Legends is unlikely to introduce this bike in India due to concerns about diluting its 'premium' BSA brand image with an entry-level offering. However, this decision has not been officially confirmed yet.
