Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Reports Record Sales Of 4,22,449 Vehicles In February 2025
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) achieved remarkable sales in February 2025, selling 4,22,449 vehicles. This included 3,83,918 units sold domestically and 38,531 units exported internationally. From April 2024 to February 2025, HMSI's cumulative sales reached 54,04,216 bikes, showcasing strong performance both in India and abroad.
In a competitive comparison with Hero MotoCorp, HMSI excelled in several months of the fiscal year. HMSI surpassed Hero in sales during July, August, and February. Hero's sales figures were 3,46,450 bikes in July, 4,91,197 bikes in August, and 3,57,296 bikes in February. This highlights HMSI's strong market presence and consumer preference for its vehicles.

Honda is actively upgrading its product lineup to maintain its competitive edge. Recent introductions include OBD2B-compliant versions of popular models like the Hornet 2.0 and Shine 125. The CB 200X has been rebranded as the NX 200. These updates aim to enhance technical specifications while meeting regulatory standards and consumer expectations.
Hero MotoCorp is also expanding its product range with new models like the Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R introduced at the 2025 BMGE in January. Bookings for these models will open soon. Additionally, Hero plans to launch a quarter-liter faired supersport motorcycle later this year and is developing the flagship Xpulse 420.
Honda celebrated significant milestones such as surpassing the 2 crore sales mark in South India. It also achieved cumulative sales of 10 lakh for the Shine 125 and SP125 in Madhya Pradesh. These accomplishments underscore Honda's strong brand presence and acceptance of its two-wheelers in India.

Honda is not lagging behind in innovation and expansion plans. The company intends to introduce new models, including electric vehicles and a new series of 500 cc bikes. The anticipated launch of the Rebel 300 cruiser bike is expected soon.
